The benefits of doing reiki, energy medicine, prayer or other energy work in a group are twofold :
The feeling of connection, community and shared consciousness that is created in a purposeful group is like nothing else. There is power and beauty in working prayer, meditation, or energy work with other people " but keep in mind that this is only true in a balanced, healthy group of like-minded people.

 A synergistic group can raise a greater amount of energy and affect change on a larger geographic area " such as a city - or on a serious health issue such as a  tumor. Dowsers and meditation groups often find that their influence is expanded by working together. Likewise, those who practice reiki or energy medicine may have greater results when working as a team or as part of a healing circle.

There are several reasons why working with group energy is so effective.  First, there are many types of energy fields within the earth. These energy fields are sometimes referred to as the "Grid". Lynn McTaggart in her book,  "The Field"  provides a scientific explanation of the "Grid". She explains the  Grid as "a subatomic field of unimaginable large quantum energy", in space that "connects everything in the universe to everything else, like some vast invisible web and we ourselves are part of this vast dynamic cobweb of energy exchange." In other words, the Grid is "a bit like the Force in  Star Wars".

Studies suggest that healers act as a conduit or transmitter,  for this grid energy during healing sessions. The Chinese practice of Qigong and T'ai Chi is based on on documented evidence of the presence of electromagnetic fields during healing sessions. During Qigong or T'ai Chi , the life Force, or"qi" or "chi", which is similar to the Grid, is accessed and balance , increased or decreased and redistribute where needed in the body.  The practice of acupuncture is based on the flow of energy through energy lines in the body, often referred to as meridians. 

The Grid affects our intuition, creativity, memory (both individual and group) and healing. The Grid can be activated and used to increase the flow of energy for healing and manifestation. It can be activated through the act of intention, will and visualization. In regard to our work it is important to note that lines of energy within the Grid can be worked with and made stronger through prayer, meditation and ceremony.  Remember energy follows thought.  

Because humans consist of quantum energy, our energy can connect and exchange with the energy in the Grid. Energy combining with energy.  We can tap into the Grid energy and use it for a variety of functions, particularly healing.  Studies have shown that  illness and disease are actually a disturbance in the energy flow (or quantum energy) of the individual and may also be due to a dis-connect from the Grid.  To heal oneself, all that may be needed is to access and redistribute a person's energy flow to operate in coordination with the grid.

 The Grid receives thoughts of the group more readily than they would if a mere individual were to send out an intention.   The Grids amplify this group energy, thereby giving  the healing energy an extra boost. This makes the energy more effective. 

1 + 1 = 3 This is the Synergy of the Group Energy .

Sometime the Grid energy is referred to as the Divine Spirit or Christ Consciousness.  The Christ said in Palestine: "Where two or three are gathered together in My name, there I am".  That is literally true in the energetic sense.   Where two or three are gathered together to decree  God's healing power, than Christ Consciousness will transmit energy to the group...that energy will flow.  Individually you could do it, but the advantage of the group is that more energy can be funneled through a group than through separate individuals. We use this synergy in our Shamanic Circles, Medicine Wheels, Intention Circles and our Christian Healing Circle

The aims of our Circles include reducing negative affects, such as anxiety and depression; increasing feelings of trust, acceptance, belongings, and connection with God and community; and bringing about a sense of well-being, wholeness, harmony and balance, within and without. We have found that those using the Group  circles have experienced an increase in their sense of being loved by God and community and they experienced a general shift from negative to positive emotional states. Cirlces conducted on power spots located on the Grid are even more intense. Power spots are electric vortices where the earth releases an extra energy boost. These power spots are located within natural geological features such as rivers, valleys, mountains, and faults. The Rio Grande Valley is a one of these power spots and is ideal for channeling the life force current into an energy circle for healing or manifestation.
